     Thomas Saumarez Dobree was born on 20 April 1845 in Guernsey his parents were Jean Saumarez Dobree and Louise Charlotte Durand.1,2 He was the son of John Sanmarch Dobree.3 He married Edith Isabella Sparkes, daughter of John Sparkes and Catherine Hay Copland, on 7 October 1886 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the license was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by John Sparkes, Amelia Nicolls, Eliza Finch, John Hamilton, Lionel Andros de Saumarez and Frederick George Alexander Lane. Thomas was a planter from St Peters Port in Guernsey. Both Thomas and Edith's fathers were described as Gentlemen.1,4 He died on 28 October 1917 in Shalford, Surrey, England, at age 72.5,6,7 He was buried on 1 November 1917 in Wonersh and Blackheath Cemetery, Wonersh, Surrey, England, in plot 548 after a service in St John the Baptist in Wonersh.5 His estate was probated on 5 February 1918 in The Elms, Guernsey, to his widow. She sailed as a tourist.5 She died in October 1984 in Newton Abbot, Devon, England, at age 103.6

     Alice Maud Jackson was born circa 1877 in Newcastle upon Tyne, Durham, England. She married Robert Copland Sparkes, son of John Sparkes and Catherine Hay Copland, on 20 April 1902 in St Frances, Simons Town, South Africa, The Sussex Agricultural Exprees of 20 May 1902 read: Captain Robert Copland Sparkes CMG, RN, second son of the late John Sparkes of Green Place in Wonersh married Alice Maud, second daughter of the late Charles Jackson of Newcastle upon Tyne.1 She was the wife of Robert Copland Sparkes in the 1911 census in Woodhill, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Robert was a retired naval officer living with his wife and four servants in their 17 roomed home.2 Robert and Alice sailed from China/Japan on board Bulow leaving on 12 March 1913 and were expected to land and leave the ship in Algiers.3 Robert and Alice sailed from Honolulu on 6 December 1919 bound for Australia.4 Her husband Robert died on 10 July 1924 in Woodhill, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.5,6 She received the probate of the estate of Robert Copland Sparkes on 22 September 1924.5 Alice sailed from Southampton on 20 June 1925 on SS Andania bound for Canada to visit her sister Mrs Holden 1 Mono Road, Ontario. It would appear from the manifest that her brother Arthur Jackson 11 Cheyne Place, Chelsea was due to follow at a later date.7 She died on 17 April 1955 in Cliffden, Teignmouth, Devon, England.8,9,10 She is remembered on the burial stone of her husband which is in Christ Church churchyard in Shamley Green.8 Her estate was probated on 18 July 1955 in Exeter to Lloyds Bank Ltd. Her effects were valued at £43,741 4s 2d.

Aubrey was a retired farmer living on private means living with his wife, daughter and servants. Aubrey was in the Officers Emergency Reserve. Annie was in the local ARP services.6 Aubrey, Annie and their son Vernon were living in 1959.7 Fraser and his wife bought Woodyers in 1962 from Mrs Sudbury.8 Her husband Aubrey died on 26 March 1963 in St Richards Hospital, Chichester, Sussex, England.9,10 She received the probate of the estate of Aubrey Hugh Vernon Sudbury on 13 September 1963.10 She died on 23 April 1978 in Lane End, Rectory Lane, Pulborough, Sussex, England, at age 92.11,10 She was buried on 8 May 1978 in Wonersh and Blackheath Cemetery, Wonersh, Surrey, England, in plot 403 after a service in St John the Baptist in Wonersh.12 Her estate was probated on 11 August 1978 in Winchester. Theophilus was a carpenter as was his father William. Frances father Richard was a plumber.3 He was listed as head of household in the 1861 census in Dorking, Surrey, England. Theophilus was a journeyman carpenter living with his wife and three children, little William was only 11 months old.4 He was listed as head of household in the 1871 census in Church Street, Dorking, Surrey, England. Theophilus was a carpenter living with his wife and childen.5 He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in Dene Street, Dorking, Surrey, England. Theophilus was a carpenter living with his wife and three of his children.6 He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in 35 Dene Street, Dorking, Surrey, England.
