Staying with William and Mary Cheeseman and working as a carter and agricultural labourer.4 He married Clara Chewter, daughter of Charles Chewter and Harriet Woodyer, on 11 May 1878 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by W Simmonds and Emma Lemon. Frank was a cowman.3 He died on 1 July 1916 Frank was Private in 7th Battalion of the Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment, with a Service No G/2031.4 Frank is commemorated on grave ref VIII.L.7 in Dantzig Alley British Cemetery in Mametz.4 His name also appears on the Bramley War Memorial.5
