     Philip Cooper was born in 1928 in Rushmere Farm, Throwley, Kent, England.1 He was the son of James Cooper and Harriett Kemsley.1 Philip died in 1928 in Throwley, Kent, England.1 Philip was buried The twins Phyllis and Philip only lived a short time. They are buried in the border of the cemetery at Charing, Ashford, Kent, in unconsecrated ground as they were not christened.1

     George Kemsley was born on 10 August 1863 in Frinstead, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of Edmund Kemsley. In the census of 2 April 1871 in 3 Lords Hill, Frinstead, Kent, England, he was listed as the son of Edmund Kemsley George was a scholar.3 He married Louisa Matilda Cook, daughter of Jesse Cook, on 27 November 1886 in Holy Trinity, Sittingbourne, Kent, England, after banns were read. The ceremony was witnessed by Stanley John Cook and Sarah Ann Medhurst. George was listed as a labourer.1,4 George was listed as the head of the family on the census of 5 April 1891 in Chapman's Cottages, Lower Halstow, Sittingbourne, Kent, England, George was a farm labourer living with his wife and daughter.5 George was listed as head of household in the census of 31 March 1901 in Parsonage Farm, Parsonage Lane, Bobbing, Kent, England, Geroge was a farm waggoner living with is wife and children.6 George was listed as head of household in the census of 2 April 1911 in Little Norwood, Parsonage Lane, Bobbing, Kent, England, George was a farm waggoner living with his wife and children in their four roomed home.7 George died on 6 June 1940 in Milton Infirmary/ Union, 1 North Street, Sittingbourne, Kent, England, aged 76 from bronchitis and myocardial degeration.1,8

     Cassandra Kemsley was born on 5 September 1893 in Chapman's Cottages, Lower Halstow, Sittingbourne, Kent, England.1,2 She was the daughter of George Kemsley and Louisa Matilda Cook.1 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Parsonage Farm, Parsonage Lane, Bobbing, Kent, England, she was listed as the daughter of George Kemsley.3 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Little Norwood, Parsonage Lane, Bobbing, Kent, England, she was listed as the daughter of George Kemsley.4 She married George Daniel Cole, son of Ernest Joseph Cole, on 28 February 1920 in All Saints, Iwade, Sittingbourne, Kent, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Eliza Isabel Haigh and Stanley Edward Cook. Both George and Cassandra gave their address as Orhard Farm, Iwade. George was described as an engineer.1,5 In 1921, George left the UK and went to Canada. He left Cassandra pregnant with their daughter Ivy. Family tradition has it that he sent for the family after finding a home and a job. Nothing was then heard of George for some considerable time. It is believed that Cassandra traced him via the Salvation Army and the fare was raised for him to return. George "had not been home all that long" according to oral tradition, when he died of Tetanus. He had been working on the sea defences on the Isle of Sheppey.1 Her husband George died on 15 March 1938 in St Bartholomew Hospital, Rochester, Kent, England, His usual address was 2 Edwin Place, Newington, Kent and he had worked as a general labourer.1,6 Cassandra lived in 2 Edwins Place, Newington, Sittingbourne, Kent for many years until moving to a retirement bungalow in Prince Charles Avenue, Sittingbourne, where she was looked after by Gillian Rains, her granddaughter. She died in May 1997 in Sittingbourne, Kent, England, She was 103 years, 7 months, 29 days when she died.1,7 Cassandra was buried in Newington cemetery, Sittingbourne, Kent, England.1

     George Daniel Cole was born in 1879 in Sittingbourne, Kent, England.1,2 He was the son of Ernest Joseph Cole.1 He married Cassandra Kemsley, daughter of George Kemsley and Louisa Matilda Cook, on 28 February 1920 in All Saints, Iwade, Sittingbourne, Kent, England, after the banns had been read.      Gillian M Rains was born on 15 August 1955 in The Thatched Cottage, Newington, Sittingbourne, Kent, England, The Cottage no longer exists. It was demolished in the late 1950s. It was situated five or ix hundred yards north of Edwins Place.1,2 She was the daughter of Herbert John Rains and Ivy Cole.1 Gillian died in September 2003 in Hospice, Rochester, Kent, England, aged 48 from Cancer.1,3
