     Clarence William Murphy was born on 18 April 1940.1 He married Edith Marie Greathead, daughter of Reuben Francis Greathead and Edith Florence Anderson, on 29 June 1968.1 Clarence died on 24 January 1997 aged 56 from a stroke after 4 heart by passes.2

Daisy Florence Anderson

Daisy Florence Anderson
     Daisy Florence Anderson was born in 1880 in Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England.1 She was the daughter of James Anderson and Sarah Smithers. She was baptised on 9 January 1881 in St Peter and St Paul, Teddington, Surrey, England, her fatherJames was a florist.2 In the census of 3 April 1881 in 2 Connaught Place, Walpole Road, Teddington, Surrey, England, she was listed as the daughter of James Anderson.3 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Vicarage Road, Sunbury on Thames, Surrey, England, she was listed as the daughter of James Anderson.4 Daisy admitted herself into Mile End Old Town workhouse on 9 May 1900 being pregnant and gave birth to a female child (Edith) on that day. She gave her address as 21 Arbour Square. They were both discharged on 25 May 1900.5 In the census of 31 March 1901 in 11 Market Place, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey, England, she was listed as the servant of Adelaide Frayling and working as a domestic kitchen maid. Her daughter Edith is staying with Daisy's mother and sister Violet in 23 Hudson Road, Kingston.6 Daisy was admited into Newington Workhouse, Westmoreland Road, Southwark, London, England, on 30 October 1902.5 Daisy died on 7 December 1902 in Newington Workhouse, Westmoreland Road, Southwark, London, England, from tuberculosis.7,8,9 When her daughter Edith married Reuben in Canada in 1921 she stated her mother was Daisy Brown and her father John Anderson. I do not believe this to be true. I do not think her mother ever married.10
