In the census of 2 April 1911 in 11 Mowden Street, Darlington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Edward Huitson Herbert was a labourer in the locomotive works.2 He married Emily Watson in 1919 in Darlington, Durham, England.1

In the census of 2 April 1911 in 11 Mowden Street, Darlington, Durham, England, he was listed as the son of Edward Huitson Bertram was a cotton worker at the mills.2 He died in October 1917 in France WW1.1 He was buried in Darlington West Cemetery, Plot S-6W-84, Darlington, Durham, England.1
