Albert George Pullen was born on 28 May 1898 in Albury, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of William Ernest Pullen and Alice Hedger. He was baptised on 17 July 1898 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of William Ernest Pullen and Alice Pullen in the 1911 census in Smithwood Common, Cranleigh, Surrey, England.3 He married Edith Kate Stemp on 26 July 1919 in St Peter and St Paul, Albury, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Ernest Arthur Pullen and Edith Laura Stemp. Albert was a gardener like his father William Ernest Pullen. Edith's father George Stemp was a roadman. Both Albert and Edith gave Smithwood Common, Albury as their address.4,5 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Albert was listed as living at 9 Rye Brook Road, Leatherhead, Surrey, England, with his wife Edith. Albert was a Builders labourer.6 He died on 22 January 1964 in Epsom District Hospital, Epsom, Surrey, England, at age 65 his usual address was 23 Ryebrook Road, Leatherhead.7,8 His estate was probated on 13 March 1964 Administration papers were issued in Lewes to Edith Kate Pullen his widow. His effects were valued at £451.7
