     James Bryden was born in 1890 in Wood Green, London, England.2 He was the son of John Robert Bryden and Mary Ann Brown.1 He was the grandson of Elizabeth Brown in the 1891 census in Snowdenham Road, Bramley, Surrey, England.3 He was the son of John Robert Bryden and Mary Ann Bryden in the 1901 census in 54 Palace Road, Bowes Park, Wood Green, London, England.4 He was the son of John Robert Bryden and Mary Ann Bryden in the 1911 census in 54 Palace Road, Bowes Park, Wood Green, London, England. James wa sa cellarman.5 James enlisted into the Duke of Cambridge's Own (Middlesex) Regiment. He was a 24 year old labourer and was demobbed on 27 September 1920. His home address at the time was 54 Palace Road, Bowes Park in London. He was 5 foot 6 inches tall with a fresh complexion, brown eyes, dark brown hair and a chest measurement of 35 inches.6 James sailed on the ship Themistocles leaving London on 20 June 1923 bound for Albany. He gave his address as 54 Palace Road, New Southgate and worked as a labourer.7

In 1950 Ernest seems to have been replaced by Clarice I Ovenden, so maybe the sisters took in lodgers.5 She died in 1951 in Wood Green, London, England.7

Frederick was a window cleaner.7 He died in 1976 in Hendon, London, England.8

     Alfred William Smith was born circa 1869.1 He married Harriet Brown, daughter of David Brown and Elizabeth Wynn, on 30 April 1906 in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by George William Goodall and Celia Brown. Alfred was a butcher like his father Charles Main Smith. Harriett's father David was deceased and described as a plasterer. Both Alfred and Harriett came from Bramley.2,3

     Amelia Gunner was born in 1871 in Worplesdon, Surrey, England.1 She married David Wynn Brown, son of David Brown and Elizabeth Wynn, in 1894 in Christ Church, Lambeth, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Charles John Brown and Fanny Brown. David was a joiner and his father also David was deceased Amelia 's father John Gunner was a labourer. Both David and Amelia gave their address as 29 Southville.2,3 She was the wife of David Wynn Brown in the 1901 census in 78 May Road, Twickenham, Middlesex, England. David was a carpenter, joiner living with his wife and daughters.4 She was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Riverside Place, Stanwell, Middlesex, England. Amelia was a married lady living with four of her five children. No idea where her husband David was staying. They had a lodger Henry Carrod in the household.5

     Cyril Henry Bellchambers was born on 11 March 1900 in Hendon, London, England.1,2 He married Harriet Charlotte Redman, daughter of Richard Thomas Redman and Fanny Simmonds, in 1923 in Hambledon, Surrey, England.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Cyril was listed as living at 11 Vernon Way, Guildford, Surrey, England, with his wife Harriet. Cyril was a locamotive fireman on the railways living with his wife, sons and mother, Annie Bellchambers.4 He died on 1 December 1956 in 43 Broadway, Knaphill, Surrey, England, at age 56 his usual address was 11 Vernon Way in Guildford.5,6 His estate was probated on 4 March 1957 in London to his widow. His effects were valued at £1,143 6s11d.6
