     Nathan Boxell married Julia Strudwick, daughter of James Strudwick and Elizabeth Charlton, on 8 April 1862 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by James Strudwick and Eliza Strudwick. Nathan was a widower and a flour agent from Brighton and his father John Boxell was a stage coachman. Julias father James Strudwick was a carpenter.1 Julia and Nathan had five daughters Julia Edith, Beatrice L, Winifred Eleanor, Ethel Blanche and Esther. They moved first to London and then spent the rest of their lives in Brighton and none seemed to return to Wonersh.2

Samuel Bag

     Samuel Bag was born circa 1797 in Dorset, England. He was the son of ... Bag. He appeared in the 1841 census in Woodhill, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. Samuel was an agricultural labourer.1 Samuel signed his will on 6 June 1843 directing all his effects to be divided between his sisters Mary Pope and Martha Bag, he worked as a shepherd. The will was witnessed by John Sparkes of Woodhill in Wonersh, and two of John's servants Ellen Carpenter and Elizabeth Russell.2 His estate was probated on 25 March 1844 in London before the Judge by the oaths of his sisters Mary Pope and Martha Bag.2

     Martha Bag was born circa 1806 in Dorset, England. She was the daughter of ... Bag. She appeared in the 1841 census in Durrington Street, Dorchester, Dorset, England. Living with William and Maria Shoodley and their family.1 Samuel signed his will on 6 June 1843 directing all his effects to be divided between his sisters Mary Pope and Martha Bag, he worked as a shepherd. The will was witnessed by John Sparkes of Woodhill in Wonersh, and two of John's servants Ellen Carpenter and Elizabeth Russell.2 She received the probate of the estate of Samuel Bag on 25 March 1844 in London before the Judge by the oaths of his sisters Mary Pope and Martha Bag.2 She was listed as head of household in the 1851 census in Dunngate Lane, Dorchester, Dorset, England. Martha was a charwoman, her niece Martha Pope was visiting her.3

     John Sparkes was baptised on 26 September 1715 in Alfold, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of Richard Sparkes and Anne ...1 He married Susannah Walker on 2 November 1741 in Windlesham, Surrey, England.1 John signed his will on 1 March 1772 leaving bequests to his family which included a property in Compton Street near Soho Square.2 In 1774 John was listed on the electoral roll as living in Bramley.1 He died in 1776 in Bramley, Surrey, England.1,2 His estate was probated on 22 October 1776 in London with two codicils before the Right Worshipful Sir George Hay Knight Doctor of Laws on the oath of his son John Sparkes.2

The ceremony was witnessed by John Mapper and William Pace Snr.1,2 Her husband Richard died in 1838 in Guildford, Surrey, England.1,3 She died in 1841 in Guildford, Surrey, England.4 Her estate was probated on 27 February 1841 before the Worshpful Jesse Adams Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the oaths of Peter Davey and William Napper Pace.5 Frances signed her will on 30 November 1841.5
