     Arthur Staplyton Barnes was born on 31 May 1861 in Bengal, India.1 He was the son of George Carnac Barnes and Margaret Diana Chetwynd Stapylton. He was baptised on 1 July 1861 in Kussowlie, Bengal, India.1 He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in Vicarage, Church Street, St Ives, Huntingdonshire, England. Arthur was the Curate in charge of St Ives living with his mother and four servants.2 He died on 13 November 1936 in Beacon House, Painswick, Gloucestershire, England, at age 75 he was a Roman Catholic priest.3 His estate was probated on 5 January 1937 in Oxford to William Arthur Usher a retired Chaplin in the Royal Navy. His effects were valued at £4,209 8s 1d.3

     Margaret Louisa Stapylton Barnes was born on 3 March 1859 in Bombay, India.1 She was the daughter of George Carnac Barnes and Margaret Diana Chetwynd Stapylton.1 She was baptised on 13 May 1859 in Kussoowlie, Bombay, India.1 She married William Neville Usher on 3 April 1883 in St James, Weybridge, Surrey, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Reginald Mitchell Barnes and Margaret Diana Barnes. William was a clerk in holy orders, his father Thomas Usher was an Esquire. Margaret's father George Carbac Barnes was in the Bengal Civil Service.2 She died on 3 July 1938 in Morely Rectory, Dereham, Norfolk, England, at age 79.3,4 Her estate was probated on 22 December 1938 in Norfolk to Rev Reginald Nevile Usher a clerk and William Arthur Usher a retired Captain in Royal Navy. Privately baptised 2 January 1785 and received into teh church on 5 May 1785.1 Henry was bequeathed in his brother George's will written on 5 January 1805 one thousand and fifty pounds and his Chester Gun and pointers.2 He married Maria Molineux on 5 July 1827 in St Nicholas, Compton, Surrey, England, after a licence was taken out on 19 June 1827. The ceremony was witnessed by Geo Molineux, Job Smallpeice, M Smallpeice and several others. Henry was a batchelor of Bramley. Maria was a spinster of the Parish of Compton.3 He was listed as head of household in the 1841 census in Birtley House, Bramley, Surrey, England.      William Sparkes was born circa 1785. He was the son of John Sparkes and Mary ... William signed his will on 1 January 1839. His will states that he had a reputed daughters Emily Sparkes Hamshire and Harriet Sparkes Smith and son William Sparkes Hamshire. He states William should assume the surname of Sparkes within eighteen months after attaining the age of 21. He also talks about Uncle Richard, and a brother Henry, sister Franes Hatch.1 He died in 1840 in Guildford, Surrey, England. He was buried on 29 October 1840 in Holy Trinity, Bramley, Surrey, England.2 His estate was probated on 7 November 1840 in London with a codicil before the Judge by the Oaths of Anthony Lee and Mark Franks.1

He asked that he be buried at Wonersh and left 3s 4d to be distributed among his poorest neighbours at the Overseers' discretion. He was the son of Henry Tickner and Ann Tickner in the 1881 census in Shamley Green, Surrey, England.2 He married Marie Louise Beuf on 14 April 1906 in Christ Church, Woking, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Henry Gittings and Ellen Tickner. Ernest was a gardener and his father Henry Tickner was a platelayer. Marie's father Peter Beuf was a clerk.3 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in The Gardens, Wanborough Manor, Wanborough, Surrey, England. Ernest was a gardener living with his wife and two sons. They had one boarder Arthur Price.4 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Ernest was listed as living at Broad Oaks, Woking, Surrey, England, with his wife Marie.
