George was I believe the brother of her future husband Robert, and he like Robert was a chimney sweep.2 He was the son of Robert Charles Bliss and Flora Emily Bliss in the 1901 census in 59 Cameron Square, Chelsea, London, England.3

She was baptised on 31 October 1875 in St Mary, Byfleet, Surrey, England, her mother was listed as Carolime Martha Chowns, no fathers name was given.3 She married Henry Denly on 10 July 1897 in St Mary, Byfleet, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by John Chapman and Elizabeth Cole. Henry was a gardener, his father William Denly was a painter. Ellen's father Davis Chowns was deceased.4 She was the wife of Henry Denly in the 1911 census in Sanway, Byfleet, Surrey, England. Henry was a house painter living with his wife and two children. They had a boarder George Wells who worked as a road man.5

Rose's father David Chowns was deceased.3,4,5 She was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Samway Lane, Byfleet, Surrey, England. Rose was listed as married and living with her four children. She worked as a laundress in the public laundry. Arthur, her husband had sailed from Liverpool arriving in Quebec on 27 May 1910 as a member of the Salvation Army on board the ship Corsican. Her daughter Amy was being adopted by her sister Emily Martha.6,7
