She was the daughter of Samuel Roberts and Hannah Roberts in the 1851 census in 7 American Buildings, Teddington, Middlesex, England.3 She was baptised on 27 April 1851 in St Mary, Teddington, Middlesex, England, her father was a labourer.2 She was the daughter of Samuel Roberts and Hannah Wells in the 1861 census in Teddington Road, Hampton, Middlesex, England.4 She married Eustace Joy on 21 November 1870 in St John the Baptist, Hampton Wick, Middlesex, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Thomas Munnar and Hannah Roberts. Eustace was a Gardener like his father William. Hannah's father Samuel was a labourer.
