Arthur Sampson Jameson was born on 16 July 1854 in India his parents were Thomas Loughnan and Elizabeth Colthurst Jameson.1,2 Arthur was proposed on 30 April 1894 to be a member of the Instute of Civil Engineers. He was working for the Eastern Bengal State Railway in Kanahrapara in Bengal. The proposal was passed by the council on 16 October 1894.1 He married Dora Kincaid Rowand on 16 October 1907 in York, Ontario, Canada.2 He appeared in the household as a boarder in the 1911 census in Burlington Hotel, Owls Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, England. Arthur and Dora were staying at the hotel. Their sons were at home with Margaret Rowand who I believe was Dora's sister.3 Arthur and Dora were living in 1918 in Doran Court, Reigate Road, Redhill, Surrey, England.4 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Arthur was listed as living at Doran Court, Reigate Road, Redhill, Surrey, England, with his wife Dora.
