He was baptised on 7 June 1837 in St Pancras, London, England, His father was a stockbroker and the family lived in Polygon in Somerstown.2 He was a son of Frederick Lokes Selous and Ann Holgate Selous in the 1871 census in 26 Gloucester Road, Regents Park, London, England. Edward was a surgeon.3 He married Caroline Josephine Marguetti on 22 August 1871 in St Mary, Finchley, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Georgina Adele Weiss and ? Philip Marguetti. Edric was a Surgeon from Wargrave and his father Fredrick Lokes Selous was listed as a gentleman. Caroline was from Finchley and the father Joseph James Marguetti was also listed as a gentleman.1,4 He died on 5 May 1891 in 61 Westhill, Sydenham, Kent, England, he was formerly from Brighton and was a Brigade Surgeon in her Majesty's Indian Army.5,6 His estate was probated on 6 June 1891 in Principal Registry by Caroline Josephine Selous his widow and Osborne Edward Dawson of 10 Hart Street, Bloomsbury Square a gentleman. He was a son of Frederick Lokes Selous and Ann Holgate Selous in the 1871 census in 26 Gloucester Road, Regents Park, London, England.2 He died on 4 January 1917 he was a Captain in 25th Battalion London Regiment and was killed in action in German East Africa and was awarded the DSO. His usual address was Heatherside in Worplesdon in Surrey.3,1 His estate was probated on 29 March 1917 in London to his widow Marie Catherine Gladys Selous. His effects were valued at £32,737 15s 2d and was resworn at £333,441 0s 2d (is there an extra 3 in the record by mistake?)1

Sadly she was auffering from acute gastritis. She suffered from alchoholic excess and hereditary insanity. While in hospital she was given much medical treatment.14,15 She died on 31 August 1911 in Brookwood Asylum, Woking, Surrey, England, at age 61 her usual address was Elm Villa in Shamley Green.11,16 She was buried by friends on 4 September 1911 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, in plot B16.17 Her estate was probated on 17 April 1912 in London to Esther Heather, wife of Henry Heather. Her effects were valued at £555 16s 7d.11

     Clara Augusta Chennell married James Charman in 1912 in Hambledon, Surrey, England.1 Her husband James died on 27 March 1914 in Stonards Brow, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.2,3,4 She received the probate of the estate of James Charman on 22 April 1914 in London to Albert Charman a confectioner and his widow Clara Augusta Charman. Martha's father was a labourer and the family lived in Chalk Pits.2 She married William Davey on 15 March 1851 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, Fater the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Joseph Mitchell and Caroline ?. William was a labourer like his father also called William Davey. Martha's father Matthew Constable was also a labourer. Both William and Martha's signed with their x.3,4 She was the wife of William Davey in the 1851 census in Long Common, Shamley Green, Surrey, England. William was an agricultural labourer living with his wife.5 She was the wife of William Davey in the 1861 census in Bramley, Surrey, England.
