Arthur was a gardener.4 Ida in 1945 lived at 1 Diamond Cottage in Wonersh by 1946 Arthur had returned and they lived together in Wonersh until at least 1952.      John Heather was born on 22 October 1906 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of Harry Heather and Esther Martha Stevens. He was baptised on 26 November 1906 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Harry Heather and Esther Martha Heather in the 1911 census in Shamley Green, Surrey, England.3 Jack grew up to be very tall living to a great age and still regularly visiting Shamley Green by public transport to see his slightly younger sister Nelly when both were in their 90s.4 He married Doris A White in 1938 in Taunton, Somerset, England.5 John was always referred to as Jack and worked in Service becoming a butler at Uckfield then back near here as Busbridge for the Donetil family, John Courage at Derrys Wood and finally for Mrs Steward at Chinthurst Hill. In the 1970’s he was a handyman at both Berk Pharaceuticals and Vulcanised Fibre at Shalford.4 In 1945 John and Doris were living at Dorijon in New Road in Wonersh. In 1948 they were living at The Chase in Wonersh and by 1951 to Meadow View on the Wonersh Common Road.6 He died in September 2000 in Surrey, England, at age 93.7
