     John Christopher Hawthorn was born circa 1903. He married Susan Mary Morris on 19 July 1933 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Gertrude Morris and Mary Hawthorn. John was a clerk in Holy Orders from Hockwold-cum-Wilton in Norfolk. His father John Hawthorn was also a clerk in Holy Orders. Susan's father Christopher Morris was deceased and had been a Lieutenant Colonel.1,2 The Surrey Advertiser on 22 July 1933 descibed the wedding of John and Susan Hawthorn as a "pretty one", with the bride being walked down the isle by her mother. It wrote she looked charming in a dress of cream Argental satin, with the bodice gathered into a twist at the neck. "The long and graceful train was cut in one with her skirt. Her Brussels lace veil was loaned by the bridegroom's mother, and the diamond ring she wore was the gift of the bridegroom. Her bouquet was of pink carnations, lilies of the valley and white heather.
The reception was at the Grantley Arms Hotel and attended by about 150 guests, and later the bridegroom left, amid many good wishes to their honeymoon at Lynton, Devonshire.2

     Denzil Little Ede was baptised on 8 February 1833 in St Matthew, Lambeth, London, England, his father was a Merchant and the family lived in Tulse Hill.1 He was the son of Francis Ede and Fanny Becheley. He died in 1834 in Lambeth, London, England.2 He was buried on 9 August 1834 in St Matthew, Lambeth, London, England, aged 19 months, the family lived in Tulse Hill.3,4

     Florence Ivy Jane Havell was born on 8 November 1905 in Guildford, Surrey, England.1 She was baptised on 10 November 1905 in St John, Farncombe, Surrey, England, her parents were William and Selma and the family lived in Farncombe Street. her father was a Drapers Manager after a private baptism on 8 November 1905.2 In 1929-30 Florence was living at 17 Farncombe Street in Godalming with William Edward Havell, Selma Jane Frances Havell, William Charles Havell and Bertram Gordon Havell.3 In 1932 Florence was living with Mary Ann Tawse at 28 Bridge Street in Godalming. In 1936 they were still in Bridge Street but Florence also had a note stating (abode 17 Farncombe Street.)3 In 1937 and 8 Florence is recorded at living at 18 Grays Road in Godalming with William Edward George Hugh Havell, William Charles Edmund Ernest Havell and Bertram Gordon Havell.3 She married Reginald Henry Joy, son of Alfred James Joy and Alice Sarah Smith, in 1938 in Surrey, England.4 Her husband Reginald died in 1969 in Surrey, England.5 She died on 5 January 1995 in Strangways, Hains Lane, Marnhill, Dorset, England, at age 89.6,7 Her estate was probated on 19 January 1995 in Winchester, her effects did not exceed £125,000.6
