Richard Simmonds was born circa 1721. He married Ann ...2 Richard was a cordwainer and took on an apprentice John Jelley and received payment on 24 April 1788.3 His wife Ann died in 1795 in Wonersh, Surrey, England.4 He married Hannah Copus on 4 December 1797 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. Both Hannah and Richard had been widowed.5 He died in 1806 in Wonersh, Surrey, England, age 85.6 He was buried on 11 November 1806 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.7
