She was the daughter of George Elliott and Ada Elizabeth Elliott in the 1911 census in Derrys Wood, North Brook, Wonersh, Surrey, England.3 She witnessed the marriage of Winifred Hilda Ann Smith and Peter Elliott on 15 December 1923 in St John the Evangelist, Milford, Surrey, England.4,5 She married Albert Edward Harding, son of Walter Robert Harding and Rosina Elizabeth Gale, on 16 August 1930 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Ruth Elliott, Alfred Charles Harding and Rosina Elizabeth Harding. Albert was in the Royal Navy serving with HMS St Cyrees in the Atlantic Fleet. His father Walter Harding was a mechanic. He was a son of Michael Elliott and Mary Elliott in the 1871 census in The Lodge, Clovelly, Devon, England.2 He was the son of Michael Elliott and Mary Elliott in the 1881 census in East Lodge, Clovelly, Devon, England.3 He married Ada Elizabeth White in 1896 in Newport Pagnell, Buckinghamshire, England.4 He was listed as head of household in the 1901 census in Lodge House, Moggerhanger, Bedfordshire, England. George was a head domestic gardener living with his wife and children. Sophia Tatman a widow aged 71 was visiting.5 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Derrys Wood, North Brook, Wonersh, Surrey, England. On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Walter Ernest Tuffs was listed as living at Long Acre Cottage, Sweetwater Lane, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, with his parents Walter was a carpenter's apprentice.2 Walter's birth appears not only to have been regsitered twice at birth once with the surname Mutimer and the other with the surname Tuffs but also to have been re-registered in 1948 in the name of Tuffs.3 He married Phyllis M Leaver in 1953 in Aldershot, Hampshire, England.4 He died in May 1987 in Surrey, England, at age 62.5
