Their half brother William was also baptsed with them.1 He was the son of Henry May and Martha May in the 1891 census in Wonersh, Surrey, England.4 He was the son of Henry May and Martha May in the 1901 census in The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Thomas was a gardener.5 He appeared in the household as a boarder in the 1911 census in 1 Midland Avenue, Wallbridge, Stroud, Gloucestershire, England. He is a domestic head gardener boarding with George and Frances Churches. George was a retired gardener.6 Thomas enlisted into the Royal Marine Light Infantry on 30 May 1916.
