Moses was a farm carter living with his wife and three of their children and a grandson. Moses suggested that he had been married for 35 years and he and Naomi had four children, one of whom had died before 1911. He lists his son Alfred as married and a general labourer and at home. However Alfred is also listed with his wife and 2 children. Moses suggested that Alfred had been married eight years and had three children, all still alive. He also suggested Tom was a domestic gardener living with him but he had sailed for New York in February 1911.7

The ceremony was witnessed by Moses Avenall, Edith Shilton and Tom Avenall. Thomas was a shepherd from Westcott, his father Charles Rogers was also a shepherd. Edith's father Moses was a carter.5 Her husband Thomas died before 1962.6 She died on 18 September 1962 in Trimmers Hospital, Waverley Lane, Frensham, Surrey, England, her usual address was Dove Cottage, Millbridge, Frensham in Surrey.7,6 Her estate was probated on 23 October 1962 in London to Harold Arthur Rogers a master baker.
