The ceremony was witnessed by George Avenall and Elizabeth Avenall. Moses was a labourer like his father George. Naomi was a servant and her father Edward Hoare was also a labourer.2,3 She was the wife of Moses Avenell in the census of 3 April 1881 Thorncombe Street, Bramley, Surrey, England.4 She was the wife of Moses Avenell in the 1891 census in Thorncombe Street, Bramley, Surrey, England. Moses was a carter living with his wife and children. They had a lodger John Parsons who was also a carter.5 She was the wife of Moses Avenell in the 1901 census in Home Farm, Albury, Surrey, England. Moses was a carter on the farm living with his wife and children.6 She was the wife of Moses Avenell in the 1911 census in Moorhouse Stream, Churt, Surrey, England. Moses was a farm carter living with his wife and three of their children and a grandson. Moses suggested that he had been married for 35 years and he and Naomi had four children, one of whom had died before 1911. He lists his son Alfred as married and a general labourer and at home. However Alfred is also listed with his wife and 2 children. Moses suggested that Alfred had been married eight years and had three children, all still alive. He also suggested Tom was a domestic gardener living with him but he had sailed for New York in February 1911.7

The ceremony was witnessed by Moses Avenall, Edith Shilton and Tom Avenall. Thomas was a shepherd from Westcott, his father Charles Rogers was also a shepherd. Edith's father Moses was a carter.5 Her husband Thomas died before 1962.6 She died on 18 September 1962 in Trimmers Hospital, Waverley Lane, Frensham, Surrey, England, her usual address was Dove Cottage, Millbridge, Frensham in Surrey.7,6 Her estate was probated on 23 October 1962 in London to Harold Arthur Rogers a master baker. He was described as a gardener living in Bramley.7 He married Mary Coogan on 1 February 1916 in Manhatten, New York, USA.8 He died in October 1964 in New York, USA, at age 74.3 He was buried in Mayrest Cemetery, Mahwah, Bergen County, New Jersey, USA, together in Plot: 12 A 110 under the same gravestone.9
