She married Henry Fentum Phillips, son of Frederick Henry Phillips and Alice Fentum, on 23 June 1894 in St John the Evangelist, Stoke Next Guildford, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Sidney Eagle Rule and Sidney Eagle William Rule. Henry was an electrician, his father Frederick Henry Phillips was deceased. Peter was listed as a Consul travelling with his wife Mary travelling from New York, Saloon class on board the ship Etruria arriving in Liverpool in May 1897.2 He died on 8 February 1921 in Fiigino, Barbegno, Canton, Tessin, Switzerland, he was listed as Peter Matlas Wessel.3 His estate was probated on 28 April 1923 in London to Harry Louis Wessel the Chilean Chargé d'Affairs and his effects were valued at £155,481 14s 2d.3

She had 11 siblings William H Masten (1853-854), Edmund Coffin Masten (1855-1904), Marguerite Louise Masten (1856-1941), Mary Rose Masten (1861-1911), Emilia Carlotta (Manning 1863-1896), Josephine Rose Masten (1865-1942), Irene Masten (1868-1912), Georgiana Martha Masten (1870-1948), Louis Cuthbert Masten (1872-1937), Jane flood Masten (1875-1953) and Alice Masten 91876-1967.)1 She married Peter Matthias Wessel in 1877. Peter was listed as a Consul travelling with his wife Mary travelling from New York, Saloon class on board the ship Etruria arriving in Liverpool in May 1897.2 She was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in Upper Lostiford, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Frederica was living on private means with her daughter, son and his wife with three servants. The records state she had seven children all still living.3 Her husband Peter died on 8 February 1921 in Fiigino, Barbegno, Canton, Tessin, Switzerland.4 She died on 4 June 1921 in Fairfield, Birchington on Sea, Kent, England, at age 62 her usual address was 22 Wilton Street, Belgravia Square.4,5 Her estate was probated on 24 September 1921 in London to her son Pedro Telesford Wessel a Brazilian Merchant.      Pedro Telesford Wessel was born on 17 June 1878 in Antofagasta, Chile.1,2 He was the son of Peter Matthias Wessel and Frederica Mariana Emelia Masten. He married Kathleen Shirley Forwood on 9 September 1902 in Coughton, Chester, Cheshire, England.1 He was the son of Frederica Mariana Emelia Wessel in the 1911 census in Upper Lostiford, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Pedro had his wife with him. The records state they had three children all still living. The record also suggests that Pedro was naturalised in 1904.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Pedro was listed as living at Apley House, Alton, Hampshire, England, with his wife Kathleen. Pedro was a retired Major and an ARP first aider.4 He died on 4 May 1954 in 4 Bath Hill Court, Bournemouth, Dorset, England, at age 75.1,5 He was buried and his ashes were scattered at sea.1 His estate was probated on 7 April 1955 in London to the Midland Bank Executor and Trustee Company Limited. His effects in England were valued at on £22.5

Theodor was listed on the ships manifest as aged 56 and divorced a Charge d'Affaire a.i.d Santiago de Chile, He was sailing on the ship Mongolia which left Copenhagen on 10 October 1945 arriving in New York on 26 October 1945. He was 5 foot 11 inches tall, had gray hair, blue eyes and a fair complexion.3
