Benjamin Jacobs

     Benjamin Jacobs was born circa 1753. He married Mary Street, daughter of Philip Street and Sarah ..., on 17 July 1775 in St Mary, Merton, Surrey, England, Benjamin was from Mertom a whitster aged 22. Mary was from Wonersh. The marriage took place after a licence had been issued on 16 July 1775 and Mary's father Peter giving his consent as she was a minor aged 19. Peter was a farmer from Wonersh. Benjamin's father John Jacobs of Mitcham was also a whitster.1 Benjamin signed hs iwll on 10 March 1777, It was witnessed by Richard Lloyd, John Maybank and Elizabeth Maybank.2 He died. His estate was probated on 25 September 1783 in London before Worshipful Andrew Coltee Ducarel Doctor of Laws Surrogate of the Right Worshipful Pater Calvert.2

     Mary Street was born circa 1756. She was the daughter of Philip Street and Sarah ... She was baptised on 15 November 1764 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.1 She married Benjamin Jacobs on 17 July 1775 in St Mary, Merton, Surrey, England, Benjamin was from Mertom a whitster aged 22.      Philip Street married Sarah ... Philip signed his will on 28 November 1780 witnessed by Ann Reffelll, Peter Randal and Philip Bowbrick.1 He died in 1781 in Wonersh, Surrey, England, He seems to live in a house called 'Skings.1' He was buried on 3 November 1781 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.2 His estate was probated on 26 November 1783 in London before Worshipful Pater Calvert on the oaths of his daughters Mary Street, and Sarah Boughton and her husband John.1

She married John Boughton on 16 November 1779 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by John Tanworth and William Goodyer. The service actually took place at St Marthas as St John was in a ruinous state.1

     John Pakenham-Walsh was born circa 1929. He was the son of Wilfred P Pakenham-Walsh.1 He married Deryn Margaret Fulljames in 1951 in Droxford, Hampshire, England.2 John, Deryn and their 2 month old daughter listed as Sally-Jane sailed from Southampton on 24 July 1953 on board the ship Canton bound for Hong Kong. They gave their address in the UK as Summerlands in Curdridge.
