He was the son of Emilia Margaret Elliot in the 1901 census in Englemere Hill, Sunninghill, Berkshire, England.2 He married Evelyn Agnes Buchanan in 1929 in Devonport, Devon, England.3 He died on 2 October 1931 while at sea on HMS Glorious.4 His estate was probated on 25 January 1933 Administration papers with a will were issued in London to his widow amd the Commercial Union Assurance Company Limited.      Malcolm Douglas Lyon was born on 23 April 1898 in Godstone, Surrey, England.1 He married Helen Alice Earle, daughter of Ninian Lowis Elliot and Emilia Margaret Guthrie, in 1928 in St Martin, London, England.2 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Malcolm was listed as living at Tatchbury Manor House Woodlands, Southampton, Hampshire, England, Malcolm was listed as married and a retired Barrister as law maintained by the Colonial Service.3 He died on 17 February 1964 in Oaklands, Old Boar Road, St Leonards on Sea, Sussex, England, at age 65 his usual address was Flat 1, Rye House, Crawhurst near Battle in Sussex.4,5 His estate was probated on 24 July 1964 Administration papers with a will were issued in London to Doreen Lyon a widow and Jeremy Malcolm Lyon a stock jobber. His effects were valued at £2,838 and resealed in Nairobi Kenya on 3 February 1965.5
