Henry was a graduate from Trinity College Cambridge.2 He married Euphemia Margaret Scott on 30 August 1855 in Wappenham, Northamptonshire, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by L H Oldrid, Henry Mary Scott, Agnes Malden, Thomas Scott and Helen E Scott. Henry was a MA of Trinity College, Cambridge from Brighton, his father Charles R Malden was a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy. Euphemia 's father Thomas Scott was the Rector of Wappnhasm.3 His wife Euphemia died before 1865. He married Catharine Walters on 19 April 1865 in St Mary, Ewell, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by John Eldad Walters and Eleanor Walters.      Peter Thomas Leigh Day was born on 15 July 1907 in Colchester, Essex, England.1,2 He was the son of William Leigh Maule Day and Gertrude Kate Manners Smith. He was baptised on 22 August 1907 in Christ Church with St Mary at the Walls, Colchester, Essex, England.3 He was the son of William Leigh Maule Day and Gertrude Kate Manners Day in the 1911 census in 4 Lexden Road, Colchester, Essex, England.4 Peter commenced work at Guys Hospital as a medical student on 28 September 1925. The electoral roll has him as a resident there in 1929.5,6 In 1940 Peters entry in the Medical Directory reads: Capt RAMC c/o Glyn, Mills &Co, Whitehall SW1 - MRCS Eng., LRCP Lond 1920: (Guys); late Ho surg County Hosp Lincoln.7 Peter a Temporary Lieutenant Colonel service number 51344 serving in Royal Corps of Signals in North Africa was awarded the Order of the British Empire. It was announced in London Gazette on 23 September 1943. His citation stated Lt Col Day has commanded 1CCS since landing in KM1 at Algiers on 8 November 1942. This CCS has dealt with 1300 sick and wounded since that date and 1950 operations have been performed. Lt Col Day has shown outstanding ability n the command of his unit during thei period. At one time 5 surgical teams were working under his orders. The care and attention to patients has been of the highest order and has resulted in the saving of many lives. The high standard set by Lt Col Day has been an example and inspiration to all the RAMC officers and men in his unit. This was signed by Lieuteant General Commander, 5 Cops and Lt General GOC in C First Army.8,9 He married Jean Metcalfe ... He died on 11 April 1961 in The Royal Victoria Hospital, Folkestone, Kent, England, at age 53 his usual address was 20 Cherry Garden Lane.10,11 His estate was probated on 2 June 1961 in London to his widow Jean Metcalfe Day. His effects were valued at £2,331 17s.11

     Francis Anthony Rundall was born on 5 November 1899. He married Beryl Mary Leigh Day, daughter of William Leigh Maule Day and Gertrude Kate Manners Smith, in 1926 in Chelsea, London, England.1 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Francis was listed as living at Barion, Lincoln Road, East Kesteven, Lincolnshire, England, with his wife Beryl. Francis was a Regular Army Officer retired and was employed by RAF Cranwell.2 His wife Beryl died in 1967 in Hampstead, London, England.3 He died in 1980 in Henley, Oxfordshire, England.4
