     George Edward Bushell was born on 25 August 1908 in Hackney, London, England.1 He was the son of George William Bushell and Harriett Jane Bolton. He was the son of George William Bushell and Harriett Jane Bolton in the 1911 census in 63 Powercroft Road, Lower Clapton, London, England.2 He married Hilda Hetty Marjorie Jarrad, daughter of Henry James Jarrad and Alice Annie Hook, on 22 June 1935 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Lucy Bushell, H Jarrad and A Hill. George was a painter and his father Henry William Bushell was deceased but had worked as a lamp lighter. Hilda's father Henry Jarrad was a labourer. George lived at 1 Friary Street in Guildford, while Hilda lived at Red Lion Cottages in Shamley Green.3,4 He died on 9 May 1978 in 3 Stonards Brow, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, at age 69.5,6 His estate was probated on 30 March 1989 in Winchester 11 years after his death. His effects were valued at £12,900.6

     Jean Anne Bushell was born on 17 January 1937 in 1 Red Lion Cottages, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.1 She was the daughter of George Edward Bushell and Hilda Hetty Marjorie Jarrad. She was baptised on 21 February 1937 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, her father was a painter.2 She married Cyril Jones, son of John Morris Jones, on 4 April 1959 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by G E Bushell and M Jones. Cyril was a widower and worked as a civil servant living at 109 Epsom Road in Guildford. His father John Morris Jones was a cost and wages clerk. Jean was a telephonist and lived at Red Lion Cottages in Shamley Green. Her father George Edward bushell was a decorator.2 She died on 17 August 2023 in Stonards Brow, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, at age 86 Jean seems to have been known as Sheila.3 Her body was cremated on 7 September 2023 in Guildford Crematorium, Guildford, Surrey, England.3

     Kitty Verdon Jarrad was born on 13 March 1916 in Shamley Green, Surrey, England. She was the daughter of Henry James Jarrad and Alice Annie Hook. She was baptised on 18 June 1916 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England.1 She married Leonard Edward Collyer on 27 March 1937 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by H Jarrad and D Jarrad. Leonard was a gardener like his father Albert Edward Collyer. Kitty's father Harry Jarrad was also a gardener. Both Leonard and Kitty gave their address as Red Lion Cottages, Shamley Green.

     George William Bushell was born in 1877 in Hackney, London, England.1 He married Harriett Jane Bolton in 1901 in Hackney, London, England.2 He was listed as head of household in the 1911 census in 63 Powercroft Road, Lower Clapton, London, England. George was a sorting clerk for the GPO living with his wife and two surviving children.3 His wife Harriett died in 1951 in Essex, England.4 He died on 8 October 1960 in Ladywell Lodge, Lewisham, London, England, his usual address was 21 Vesta Road, Brockley.5,6 His estate was probated on 14 November 1960 in London to John William Bushell a civil servant. His effects were valued at £226 15s 1d.6
