Ordained as a Deacon in 1869; a priest (London) 1870; he was Chaplain to Highgate School, 1869-84, and Assistant Master there 1869-84. Vicar of Ringwood with Bisterne, and Rector of Harbridge, Hampshire, 1884-1916; resigned. Rural Dean of Ringwood and Christchurch in 1909-16.3 He married Katherine Elizabeth Rawlins in 1875 in Droitwich, Worcestershire, England.4 He was listed as head of household in the 1881 census in Grove Bank, Highgate, London, England. William and Francis were both assistant masters.5 He died on 28 October 1919 in Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England, at age 41 William was an Assistant Master at Eton College.6,7,8 He was buried in Eton Cemetery, Eton, Berkshire, England.6 His estate was probated on 13 December 1919 in London to Gerald Stuart Chomeley Bodkin an engineer and Philip Harman a solicitor.      John Hill was born circa 1889 in Dormansland, Surrey, England.1,2 John enlisted in East Grinstead on 9 January 1909. He was 5 foot 4 inches tall, weighed 133 lbs had a chest measurement of 37 inches, fresh complexion, grey eyes and brown hair. His records states he was recorded as absent on 1 April 1911. Was this because he sailed to Australia a few days previous.2 John sailed on 26 May 1911 on 'Armadale' from London to Fremantle in Australia. He was described as a gardener aged 22.3 Johns record states he rejoined 10 August 1914 after being absent in Australia. He was promoted to Temporary Sergeant for the duration of the war and discharged on 6 November 1919.2 He married Frances Evelina Vincent, daughter of Charles Vincent and Henrietta Elizabeth Bullen, on 9 June 1919 in St James, Shere, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Ernest Alfred Harwood and Beatrice Maud Lemon. John was a Sergeant in RASC, his father Robert Hill was a market gardener. Frances father Charles Vincent had died.4,5 John and Frances were in 1925 living in 66 Queen Street, Bayswater, Perth, Western Australia, Australia.6 He died in 1962 in Perth, Western Australia, Australia, his parents were listed as Robert and Matilda.1
