The ceremony was witnessed by Louisa Medd and Emma Rogers. Robert was an engineer from Newcastle. His father was deceased but had been a clerk in holy orders. Cecily Medd was born on 11 January 1912 in Epsom, Surrey, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Allan Nesbitt Medd and Jane Adele Vaughan Thomas. She was baptised on 24 February 1912 in St George, Ashtead, Surrey, England, her father was a wharfinger and the family lived in Inglenook in Ashtead. A wharfinger was the owner or manager of a wharf.2 Allan and Jane and their children Cecily, Allan and Richard were living at The Woodlands, Agales Lane in Ashford in Surrey when young Allan died aged just 7 years.3 She married Philip Cecil King-Lewis on 20 April 1938 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Cecily's father Allan Nesbitt Medd who was a wharfinger and Humphrey King-Lewis. Philip's father also called Phillip was deceased and had worked as a surgeon, like his son.4,5 She received the probate of the estate of Jane Adele Vaughan Medd on 19 March 1948.6 Her husband Philip died on 28 November 1960 in Worcester, Worcestershire, England.7,8 She received the probate of the estate of Allan Nesbitt Medd on 27 April 1962.6 She died in 2008.9
