Francis was a book keeper and his father Jonathan Whitehead was a warehouseman. Isaac was a master worsted spinner like his father in name and coccupation. Rose's father William Christmas was a labourer.2,3 Arthur enlisted on 7 November 1916 into the London Regiment as Private 36733 and served with the Northn Regiment and later as 87709 with Labour Corps he was a shorthand typist and lived at 22 Lavendale Road in Forest Hill. He gave his next of kin as Arthur Carpenter 14 Mount Pleasant in Lewisiham. He ws 5 foot 8 inches tall and had a chest measurent of 34 inches.4 He died before 1918 I cannot find his death, he certainly was not among the war dead.
