He was the son of William Colebrook and Mary Ann Colebrook in the 1841 census in High Street, Guildford, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of William Colebrook and Mary Ann Colebrook in the 1851 census in 67 High Street, Guildford, Surrey, England.3 Oliver, Ellen and their two children, together with two of Ellen's brother Thomas and cousin John set sail on 2 April 1859 from Gravesend on the ship Whirlwind bound for Auckland in New Zealand. Ellens brother John and cousin Tom apparently travelled as steerage passengers and worked ther passage. Many of the famly suffered from sea sickness and they encountered many storms on the way. They arrived on 15 July 1959.4 After 9 weeks Thomas and John still could not find work, so they, along with two others headed off 30 miles into the bush. In 1860 Thomas went to Australia to look for work, John followed him but returned after only a short time as they considered they were better off in New Zealand.4

Shortly after movig to Wonersh William started up the Sunday Services initially in his kitchen and later oving to the barn as extra space was needed.3 He married Mary Hephzbah Hilder in 1866 in Guildford, Surrey, England.4 His wife Mary died in 1874 in Guildford, Surrey, England.3,5 He married Mary Gower in 1877 in Sevenoaks, Kent, England.6 He died in 1896 in Guildford, Surrey, England, from a brain tumour.7,3

George was a draper living with his wife and children and two domestic servants, a nurse and cook.4 Her husband George died on 19 July 1919 in Montpelier, North Street, Worthing, Sussex, England.5,6 She died in 1968 in Worthing, Sussex, England, She aparently received two telegrams from the Queen.7,8
