     Herbert Gladstone Colebrook was born in 1880 in Guildford, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of May Colebrook and Mary Gower. Herbert was one of the passengers on the ill fated Lusitania that was torpedoed by the German Uboat and sank in 18 minutes on Friday 7 May 1915. He was one of the 761 survivors. He managed to keep himself afloat until he boarded a raft and was eventually picked up by one of the boats which went to the aid of the ship wrecked passengers and crew. He arrived at Euston station wearing the same clothes as he was wearing when he was rescued.2

     Derek Antony Gordon Reeve was born on 6 December 1915 in St Albans, Hertfordshire, England.1 He was the son of Edward Gordon Reeve and Annie Richmond Paton. Here is a wonderful picture of Queen and her children, Meriel, Derek and Pamela.2 Queen had moved to Lawn Mead Wonersh in 1923 with her three children, their parents divorced in 1925. Derek was educated at Shrewsbury School, Pembroke College, Cambridge.3 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Derek Antony Gordon Reeve was listed as living at Lawn Mead, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England, with his parents.4 The Reeve children sold in 1954 Lawn Mead following the death of their mother to Miss Ledboes, who had the extension barn pulled down and much of the garden divided into building lots. The house was sold again in 1956 to Mrs Margaret Bailey, who renamed the house Wetheringsett. In 1982 a subsequent owner renamed it Timbrells after the name of its owner in 1843, Ann Timbrell.2 Derek was known as Jim and served with the Colonial Administrative Service, serving in Nyasaland (now Malawi) where he became Provincial Commissioner, South Province and was awarded an OBE.2 He died on 1 July 1996 in The Stone House, Plaistow, Billingshurst, Sussex, England, at age 80.5 He was buried on 9 July 1996 in Wonersh and Blackheath Cemetery, Wonersh, Surrey, England, in plot B31 after a service in St John the Baptist in Wonersh.5

     Pamela Gordon Reeve was born on 2 December 1917 in Kensington, London, England.1 She was the daughter of Edward Gordon Reeve and Annie Richmond Paton. Pam celebrated her 21st Birthday with a dance party at Lawn Mead. One of her guests, an old friend of her brother Jim, was Geoff Lane, who later became the Lord Chief Justice.2 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Pamela Gordon Reeve was listed as living at Lawn Mead, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England, with her parents.3 Pamela was a keen tennis and piano player, serving in Auxilary Territorial Service.2 She married Alphonsus James Peter O'Brien, son of Alphonsus Joseph O'Brien and Dorothy Mary McMahon, on 21 June 1944 in Greyfriars Franciscan Monastery, Chilworth, Surrey, England, at 2pm. Father Bertrand officiated.4,5,2 Peter and Pam lived in 1949 until at least 1953 in Cairnsmoor, 51 New Road, Wonersh, Surrey, England.6 By 1953 Peter and Pamela were living in Wood View, Station Road in Bramley until 11 October1961. They moved to White House, Dorking Road in Chilworth and later to Hareshawmuir in Blackheath. In 1957 Peter's mother moved in for a short period.6,2 The Reeve children sold in 1954 Lawn Mead following the death of their mother to Miss Ledboes, who had the extension barn pulled down and much of the garden divided into building lots.
