Thomas William Chitty was born on 20 April 1897 in Shalford, Surrey, England.2,3 He was the son of Jesse Chitty and Annie Munford.1 He was the son of Jesse Chitty and Annie Chitty in the 1901 census in Lockner Cottages, Chilworth, Surrey, England.4 He was the son of Jesse Chitty and Annie Chitty in the 1911 census in Halfpenny Farm, Chilworth, Surrey, England.5 He married Dorothy Louisa Cumper, daughter of Charles Cumper and Annie Shurlock, on 17 January 1918 in Guildford Register Office, Guildford, Surrey, England, Dorothy gave her address as 36 Church Road in Guildford.6,7 Thomas served as Lance Corporal 21209 in the Auckland Regiment 1st New Zealand Force during WW1 enlisting on 10 June 1919 in Auckland. Thomas had a fair complexion, brown hair, blue eyes and stood 5 foot eight inches tall.8,7
He and Dorothy Louisa Chitty were divorced circa 1940 in New Zealand.3 He married Kathleen Mary Filmore. He died on 23 March 1968 in New Zealand at age 70.8 He was buried in Papakura Cemetery, City of Auckland, Auckland, New Zealand, in Plot: PRSAL-I-029 in the Returned Serviceman's Section.8

Jesse Chitty was born on 9 April 1900 in Chilworth, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Jesse Chitty and Annie Munford.1 He was the son of Jesse Chitty and Annie Chitty in the 1901 census in Lockner Cottages, Chilworth, Surrey, England.3 He was the son of Jesse Chitty and Annie Chitty in the 1911 census in Halfpenny Farm, Chilworth, Surrey, England.4 Jesse sailed from Southampton on 29 January 1925 on board SS Remuera bound for New Zealand, he was listed as a Farmer from Albury.5 He married Elaine Mildred Rayner in 1925 in New Zealand.6 He died in 1985 in New Zealand.

The cermony was witnessed by Harvey Clement Dibley and Alice Heather. Percy was a Groundsman and his father Henry John a cellarman.
