Sarah Baker was born on 10 October 1828.1 She was the daughter of William Baker.2 She married Elihu Edmund Body, son of Edmund Body and Hannah Hacker, on 27 June 1850 in St Mary the Virgin, Islington, London, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by William Baker and Mary Ann Baker. Elihu was a Clerk in Holy Orders from Clapham, his father Edmund was described as a Gentleman. Sarah gave her address as Francis Place and her father William Baker was a Schoolmaster.3,4
She was the wife of Elihu Edmund Body in the 1851 census in 10 Park Terrace, Clapham, London, England. Elihu was a Teacher at Grammar School living with his wife and one servant.5 She died on 1 May 1855 in The Wonersh Vicarage, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England, at age 26 from consumption. Her death was registered by Sarah Lyon. I don't think she really recovered from the death of her daughters.6 She was buried on 8 May 1855 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, in plot 2. There is also a memorial plaque on the North wall of the Nave.7 Sarah and her two daughters were buried under the same gravestone in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England.

Elihu Edmund Body was born on 29 September 1817 in Stoke Damerel, Devon, England.1,2 He was the son of Edmund Body and Hannah Hacker.3 He was baptised on 11 January 1818 in Mount Street Independent Chapel, Devonport, Devon, England, his father was listed as a Merchant.4,5 Elihu became a student at St John's on 20 February 1841. He passed his Matric. Michs.in 1841; obtained his B.A. (15th Wrangler) in1845; his M.A. in 1848. He was ordained a Deacon in 1845 and became a Priest in Winchester in 1846. He was Assistant Master and Chaplain of Clapham Grammar School, 1845-52. He was Vicar of Wonersh in Surrey, 1852-92.1 He married Sarah Baker, daughter of William Baker, on 27 June 1850 in St Mary the Virgin, Islington, London, England, after a licence had been issued. The ceremony was witnessed by William Baker and Mary Ann Baker. Elihu was a Clerk in Holy Orders from Clapham, his father Edmund was described as a Gentleman. Sarah gave her address as Francis Place and her father William Baker was a Schoolmaster.6,7
He was listed as head of household in the 1851 census in 10 Park Terrace, Clapham, London, England. Elihu was a Teacher at Grammar School living with his wife and one servant.8 Sadly Elihu and Sarah's daughter Alice became ill and died on 8 April. Sarah was pregnant with their second daughter, she was born on 12 April but died but died on 16th. I don't think Sarah never recovered she died on 1 May.9 His wife Sarah died on 1 May 1855 in The Wonersh Vicarage, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England.10 He was listed as head of household in the 1861 census in The Wonersh Vicarage, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Elihu was the Vicar of Wonersh living with his mother and son with two servants, a cook and house servant.11,12 He received the probate of the estate of Hannah Body on 28 May 1866 Her effects were valued at under £450.13 He was listed as head of household in the 1871 census in The Wonersh Vicarage, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Elihu was the Vicar of Wonersh living with his son with two servants, a housekeeper and domestic servant.14 He was the brother of Mary Selina Hill in the 1881 census in The Vicarage of St Nicholas, King Edward Road, Rochester, Kent, England. Elihu was the Vicar of Wonersh.15 He married Maria Wells in 1882 in Hastings, Sussex, England.16 Lawnsmead - Wonersh Infants School was built in 1890 by voluntary subscriptions, at the instigation of the Rev E E Body, Vicar of Wonersh and his wife. Support in the form of donations was given by the National Society. The first mistress was Mrs Green. The school closed on 28 March 1924 and its pupils were transferred to Shamley Green, Bramley and Shalford Schools. After the closure the school building was used as a Parish Room by Wonersh Church Council and subsequently Wonersh Parish Council.17 He was listed as head of household in the 1891 census in The Wonersh Vicarage, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England. Elihu was the Vicar of Wonersh living with his wife, sister and brother in law, who was also a Clerk in Holy Orders with two servants.18 In a letter dated 24 October 1891 Rev Body was awarded a pension of £8 per annum for his lifetime. This was due to be paid in half yearly payments on 11 February and 11 August each year.19 He died on 7 December 1899 in 18 Chapel Park Road, St Leonards on Sea, Sussex, England, at age 82 The central window on the south side of the nave in St John the Baptist, Wonersh was given in his memory by his second wife. It depicts Christ's baptism by St John teh Baptist.12,13,20 He was buried on 12 December 1899 in Christ Church, Shamley Green, Surrey, England, There is also a memorial plaque on the North wall of the Nave of St John the Baptist Church where his funeral service took place.12
His estate was probated on 29 January 1900 in London to his widow Maria. His effects were valued at £552 19s 3d.13

Charles William Edmund Body was born on 4 October 1851 in Clapham, London, England.1,2 He was the son of Elihu Edmund Body and Sarah Baker. He was baptised on 15 January 1852 in St Mary, Islington, London, England, his father was a Clerk in Orders and the family lived in 10 Clapham Park Terrace in Clapham.2 He was the son of Elihu Edmund Body in the 1861 census in The Wonersh Vicarage, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England.3,4 He was a son of Elihu Edmund Body in the 1871 census in The Wonersh Vicarage, The Street, Wonersh, Surrey, England.5 Like his father he was a student at St John's from11 May 1871. He passed his Matric. Michs. in 1871; became a scholar and Prizeman; He gained his B.A. (6th Wrangler) in 1875; M.A.in 1878 and became a Fellow 1877-81. He was ordained a Deacon in 1876; Became a priest (Ely) in 1877; Clerk of Chesterton, Cambs., 1876-81. Provost of Trinity College, Toronto, 1881-94, and Vice-Chancellor of the University, 1881-94. Canon and Chancellor of St Albans Cathedral, Toronto, 1889-94. Founded the Women's College of St Hilda, Toronto, the first of its kind in Canada. Professor in the General Theological Seminary, New York, 1894-1906. Emeritus Professor, 1906-12. One of the workers on The Marginal Readings Bible. Author, theological. Died Sept. 20, 1912, at Burlington, Vermont, U.S.A. (Eagle, XXXIV; The Guardian, Oct. 11, 1912.)6 He appeared in the household of Mary Selina Hill in the 1881 census in The Vicarage of St Nicholas, King Edward Road, Rochester, Kent, England. Charles was a Fellow in Jackson St John's College in Cambridge.7 He married Frances Mary Perry on 12 July 1881 in Parish Church, Chesterton, Cambridgeshire, England, by Rev S E Perry the vicar and brother of the bride, assisted by Rev HCD Chandler, vicar of Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire. Frances was the youngest daughter of the late John Perry JP of Claremont Place in Clifton.8,9 Dr and Mrs CWE Body sailed from London 4 September 1895 on SS Mowhawk for 13 days to New York.10 He died on 20 September 1912 in Lake View Sanatorium, Burlington, Vermont, USA, at age 60 from apoplexy following a cardiac dropsy in paranoiac condition.11,12 He was buried in Lakeview Cemetery, Burlington, Vermont, USA.13
His estate was probated on 24 September 1913 in New York, USA. Administration papers were issued in London to Hugh Wells Armstead surgeon attorney of Frances Mary Body. His effects were valued at £348 15s 10d.11

William was a Clerk in Holy Orders.7 His wife Mary died in 1899 in Hastings, Sussex, England.8 He died on 15 August 1920 in Esperance, Warwick Park, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England, at age 91 William had gone to retire in Tunbridge Wells after his wife died.2,9 His estate was probated on 19 October 1920 in London to James Christopher Turpin a consulting engineer and his spinster sister Caroline Amy Turpin. His effects were valued at £22,914 17s 4d.9

George was a postman.4 He married Minna Fear on 12 June 1905 in St Saviour, Brixton Hill, Lambeth, London, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by George Fear and Mary Valller. George was a bricklayer from 40 Brandon Road and his father Charles Valler was a market gardener.
