He married Anne Wakeford, daughter of Henry Wakeford and Mary Newman, on 19 September 1762 in St Peter and St Paul, Godalming, Surrey, England, after a licence had been issued on 11 September 1762. Both John aged 36 and Anne aged 25 were of this parish, John was however a widower.2 He died after 1785.3 John signed his will on 10 March 1785.3 His estate was probated on 17 June 1789 in London to his widow Ann Weale.3

     Neville Vincent Gorton was born on 11 March 1888 in Nantwich, Cheshire, England.1 He married Ethel Ingledew Daggett in 1926 in Great Ouseburn, Yorkshire, England.2 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Neville was listed as living at Blundells School Hospital, Tiverton, Devon, England, Neville was a Clerk in Holy Orders.3 It is understood that Neville was the Bishop of Coventry from 1943 to 1955 and died in office.4 He died in 1955 in Meriden, Warwickshire, England.5
