     William Chambers Hook was born in 1851 in Lower Norwood, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of Benjamin Hook and Caroline Pescod. He was the son of Benjamin Hook and Caroline Hook in the 1861 census in Westwood Park, Wood Vale, Camberwell, Surrey, England.2 He married Elizabeth ... in 1897 in Lewisham, London, England, Elizabeth's maiden name was either Micklem or Smith.3 He died on 5 October 1897 in 6 Sunderland Road, Forest Hill, Kent, England.4,5 His estate was probated on 22 October 1897 Administration papers were issued in London to his widow Elizabeth Hook. His effects were valued at £723 23s 10d.5
