     William Harfield Edgington was born on 23 March 1868 in Farncombe, Surrey, England.2 He was the son of Harfield Edward Edgington and Jane Bradley. He was a son of Harfield Edward Edgington and Jane Edgington in the 1871 census in Church Road, Godalming, Surrey, England.3 He appeared in the 1881 census in Norwood House, Hindhead Road, Godalming, Surrey, England. He was a page boy.4 He appeared as a lodger in the 1891 census in Hope Cottages, School Lane, Betchworth, Surrey, England. Staying with a shoemaker, Edwin and Mary Streeter. He was a Police Officer.5 He married Maria Bicknell, daughter of Henry Bicknell, on 1 June 1892 in St Peter and St Paul, Godalming, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by George Larches and Elizabeth Jane Edgington. The ceremony was witnessed by Frances Susan Fryer and Harfield Edward Edgington. Harfield was a clerk and gave his address as 14 Carlos Street in Godalming. Winifred gave her address as 20 Broadway Mansions, Mudiserve Hill.3 He died on 16 September 1918 in France he was killed in action, a Pioneer no. 210786 in the 21St Div. Signal Company, Royal Engineers.4
