Elsie Dora Gate was born circa 1876. She married Walter Mayo Ede, son of Charles Ede and Emma Ede, on 5 July 1904 in Pancras Parish Church, St Pancras, London, England, after a licence was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Alfred Joseph Gate and Ambrose Leopold Ede. Walter was a Clerk in Holy Orders and gave his address as North Gate Mansions, North Gate, Gloucester. Elsie gave her address as 20 Mickleburgh Square.1 She was the wife of Walter Mayo Ede in the 1911 census in The Vicarage, Dunstan, Lincolnshire, England. Walter was clergyman in the Established Church living with his wife and daughter in their 14 roomed home. They had one servant.2 Her husband Walter died on 6 March 1958 in Restholme, Kings Road, Cranleigh, Surrey, England.3,4 She died in 1966 in Worthing, Sussex, England.5
