     Robert Ketcher was baptised on 28 May 1837 in St Mary, Guildford, Surrey, England.1 He was the son of William Ketcher and Ann Craft.1 He was the son of William Ketcher and Ann Ketcher in the 1841 census in Angel Gate, Guildford, Surrey, England. William was a labourer living with his wife, children and a widow Sarah Ingham age 31.2 He was the son of William Ketcher in the 1851 census in Angel Gate, Guildford, Surrey, England.3 Robert a gardener, was convicted on 1 January 1861 of stealing 86 ibs of bones on 21 December 1860 and sentenced to 9 months in Wandsworth Prison. He was expected to be released on 29 September 1861.4 Robert was convicted on 28 March 1864 of feloniously receiving stolen goods and a former conviction of felony and given the sentence of 15 months imprisonment.5 Robert was convicted on 23 March 1866 at Kingston Session to transportation to Australia for seven years.6 Robert arrived on board the ship Norwood in Western Australia stating he was a groom. It would appear that maybe e went to Calcutta on 7 January 1877.7

     Mary Ann Fuller married Henry Ketcher, son of William Ketcher and Harriot Baker, on 4 November 1865 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by Charles Walker and Charlotte Andrews. Henry and Mary both signed heir name with a mark, Henry's surname was written incorrectly as CVatcher. Henry was a labourr like his father William. Mary Ann's father John Fuller was also a labourer.1 She died before 1869.
