Hubert was a painter.3 The Surrey Advertiser of Monday 11 September 1916 reported that Hubert Ketcher (25) house painter and decorator,employed by Messrs Holden, Cranleigh, who claimed on the ground of ill-heath, stating that he had been under treatment for years for chest trouble, but had been passed by a medical board for general service six months.4 He received the probate of the estate of Henry William Ketcher on 10 January 1939 in London to Hubert Ketcher a house decorator and Ralph Edwin Ketcher an oilman. His effects were valued at £668 14s 3d.5

The ceremony was witnessed by Margaret Cleeve, HW Ketcher and Annie Ketcher. John was a soldier, his father William Charles Adkins was deceased. Ivy's father Henry William Ketcher was a farmer.3 She died on 21 November 1984 in Kerswell Cottage, Meadow Close, Blackwater, Hampshire, England, at age 92.4,5 Her estate was probated on 20 March 1985 Administration papers were issued in Ipswich. Her effects did not exceed £40,000.5
