His mother and brother lived with him.4 On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Herbert Morris was listed as living at Rosedale, 40 New Road, Wonersh, Surrey, England, with his mother and brother Herbert was an insurance agent.5 He married Catherine Abbott on 23 March 1946 in St John the Baptist, Wonersh, Surrey, England, after the banns were read. His effects were valued at £16,575.8
