18 May 2008 - Badminton
- VAC flyin |
We were late booking in for
the VAC flyin at Badminton, but Martin Ryan kindly processed our details
and allowed us to attend. The weather on the day was reasonable, it
remained dry but we did have a stiff, rather cold Easterly wind. The
flight down was enjoyable and was simply a case of heading North to the
Kennet and Avon Canal, then West to Bath, and North again to Badminton. |

|
We listened to Badminton
Traffic which was quite busy, clearly lots of aircraft were on the
way. We were number four on the ground, shortly followed by many
others. We understood forty two planes eventually landed. |

|
It was good to meet up with
"old" friends including Alan Crutcher, we so often see his plane
but miss chatting. |

|
Lunch was a magnificent
spread of roast pork and salad, followed by strawberries and cream. |

|
Our thanks go to the VAC for
including in their list of flyins, to Martin Ryan for his splendid
organising and to the Duke for allowing us to land on his magnificent
strip |
