Halloween Fly In |

| We had planned to go to the
last VAC flyin of the season in Leicester. But the dreaded VAC curse
was in action again. |
| We left home in bright
sunshine by by the time we arrived at the airfield the cloud and
fog. We waited awhile having coffee and finally decided that we
would see what it was like in the air. It did not look too bad. |
| However the visibility was
not good and we were definitely not going to Leicester, so we headed
towards Popham. It really was not our day as just after we called
Popham to receive the airfield information the rain started, the cloud
came down and the decision was taken out of our hands. |
| We scampered back to the
airfield landing as soon as possible. |
| Not all was lost as another
airman took some superb pictures of AY and sent them to us. |
