- Smithwood Common trials |

| A last minute
telephone call from John and we were off to Smithwood Common to meet him
with Martins model under his arm. We did not need a second call. |
| John had a model
he had built about 30 years ago he said but had only recently added an
electric motor. He wanted to do some trials in a large area.
The grass had been mowed but not too short so it provided better flying
conditions than our last visit. |

| The trials went
well and John now knows exactly what he needs to do before we meet for the
next flight Martin had some magnificent flights with his
plane. No problems this time, except that the sun set too fast |
