The ceremony was witnessed by AEC Tubbs and BML Tubbs. Walter was a butcher and his father George Tubbs a greengrocer.      Harriett James was born circa 1837.¹ She married George Willcox, son of George Willcox and Ann Tubbs, on 8 February 1855 at Horton, Dorset, England.² George and Harriett had 13 children Harry 1855-1936, Tom 1856-1891, Jane 1856, Mary Ann 1858-1928, Charles 1860-1932, Harriett 1861-1861, Alfred 1866-1950, Ellen 1868-1942, Walter George 1869-1871 William Wisley 1871-1947, James 1873, Clara Kate 1875 and Herbert George 1878.¹ Her husband George Willcox died on 14 September 1887.³ Harriett Willcox died in 1901 at Wimborne, Dorset, England.⁴

     Elizabeth Strange was baptized on 3 April 1803 at Tarrant Monkton, Dorset, England; her parents were Priscilla Symonds Walbridge (1829-1919) and John Strange (1780-1864) - JT. She married John Willcox, son of George Willcox and Ann Tubbs, on 25 December 1834 at East Stoke, Dorset, England, after the banns had been read. The ceremony was witnessed by William Wallis and Hannah Wallis.¹ John and Elizabeth had six children David 1836-1889, Jane 1837, John Strange 1838-1911, Edgar 1841-1921, Fanny 1842-1930 and George James 1845-1919.² Her husband John Willcox died on 4 September 1878; he was a railway porter.^3,4 Elizabeth Willcox witnessed the probate of the estate of John Willcox on 5 October 1878; Administration papers were issued at the Priciapal Registry to his widow Elizabeth Willcox od West Moore. His effects were valued at under £200.⁴ Elizabeth Willcox died in 1890.⁵

     Veronica Lily Reynolds was born in 1917 at Ringwood, Hampshire, England. She married Montague Alfred Tubbs, son of Alfred George Tubbs and Blanche Beatrice Hopkins, on 6 March 1943 at St Marys, Southampton, Hampshire, England, after the banns were read. The ceremony was witnessed by Josiaih Reynolds and Stanley George Brackett. Montague was a printers machinist, his father Alfred Tubbs was a trolley bus driver. Veronica was in the WRVS , her father Josiah Reynolds was a council employee.¹ Her husband Montague Alfred Tubbs died on 15 January 1999; from myocardial infarct and acute renal failure. He was a retired printer and lived at 25 School Road, Totton in Southampton, his son Kenneth registered his death.² Veronica Lily Reynolds died in 2003 at Southampton, Hampshire, England.

     Cyril William Counter was born on 26 February 1894 at Christchurch, Hampshire, England.¹ He married Elsie Louise Tubbs, daughter of George Tubbs and Martha Squibb, in 1923 at Christchurch, Hampshire, England.² He was listed as head of household in the 1939 National Register at 2 Southill Road, Bournemouth, Dorset, England. Cyril was an upholsterer living with his wife and children.³ Cyril William Counter died on 17 May 1958 at 2 Southill Road, Winston, Bournemouth, Dorset, England, at age 64.^4,5 His estate was probated on 21 July 1958 in Winchester to his widow Elsie Louisa Counter.
