     Joan Tubbs was born on 20 September 1938 at Jarvis Maternity Home, Guildford, Surrey, England; she was born at 9pm and weighed 8.5ibs/ Her birth was registered on 17 October 1938 and she was christened on 20 November 1938.2,3 She was the daughter of Leslie Albert Tubbs and Elsie Louisa Banger. Joan Tubbs was listed as daughter of Leslie Albert Tubbs and Elsie Louisa Tubbs in the 1939 National Register at 26 Canterbury Road, Guildford, Surrey, England.4 Joan passed her Police exams on 19 October 1957 and went to Henley 2-3 November that year.3 Joan Tubbs was a witness Leslie bought 6 Madrid Road in Guildford pn 11 October 1959 and the family started work there in the hardware store on 9 November 1959.3 She was a witness Leslie, Elsie and their daughter Joan moved into Cliffe Edge, 9 Ridgemount in Guildford on 25 August 1962.3 She died on 30 September 2022 at Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford, Surrey, England, at age 84. Her body was cremated a few friends met at The Seahorse in Shalford to celebrate her life after the service on 23 November 2022 at Guildford Crematorium, Guildford, Surrey, England. Administration of Joan's estate was granted to her Solicitor, her Executor on 27 September 2023. The gross value being £916,298 12s. In her will dated 30 September 2015 she requested that her microscopes be given to The Quekett Microscopical Club and the balance remaining after the usual costs to be given to the Royal National Lifeboat Institution.
