In memory of Joan Tubbs

Joan was my friend and we had many interests in common. As well as these interests she taught me to take photographs, and I taught her how to climb her family tree but sadly I never managed to get her to document it in any digital form. After she died I retrieved all her paper documents and have attempted to put the information she collected into a readable form. I have added information on mothers maiden name, 1921 census and anything else I discovered along the way to make her story more comprehensive. I hope she would have been pleased with this site and all I have done in her memory

Paperwork

Joan loved paper and was very good at collecting it.

The collection of paper Joan had amassed on her family that is the basis of this website. Joan printed off every Tubbs tree she found on Ancestry, sadly they were not always accurate or even her branch of Tubbs. She printed off endless copies of census forms. Using this method meant too much paper and not going back to check her work. Hindsight is a wonderful thing and I was able to check her work, amend where necessary and add where I could.
