Thelma Alice Florence Grey was born on 13 February 1915 in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.1 She was the daughter of Sidney Charles Oliver Greathead and Constance Trilby Gwenddene Booth.1 She married Firmin Francois Fortier Firmin stated he was aged 32 and resided in and was a native of Los Angeles, California He was a clerk. Thelma was aged 23, resided in Glendale California and a native of Hamilton Ontario. Neither had previously been divorced. They signed the marriage application on 9 June 1938 in Yuma Arizona.1,2 Her husband Firmin died on 22 December 1969 in Burbank, Los Angeles, California, USA, aged 64.1 Thelma died on 17 February 1994 in Grenada Hills, Los Angeles, California, USA, aged 79.1

Benjamin Stainsby was baptised on 25 July 1798 in Yarm, Yorkshire, England, his parents were Ralph and Elizabeth Stainsby (née Taylor.)1 He was the son of Ralph Stainsby and Elizabeth Taylor. He married Dorothy Smith on 22 November 1823 in St Cuthbert, Darlington, Durham, England.2 Benjamin, Dorothy, Elizabeth, Ralph and the grandchildren Elizabeth and William left Liverpool arriving in New York on 24 August 1832 sailing on the ship Robert Morris.3,4 He married Anna Greathead, daughter of John Greathead and Jane Musgrave, in 1834 in Newark, Essex, New Jersey, USA.3 Benjamin was listed as head of household in the census of 23 July 1850 in New Jersey, USA, Benjamin was a shop keeper living with hsi wife and children with one servant.5 An unknown person was listed as head of household in the census of 1 June 1860 New Jersey, USA, Benjamin was a messenger in Congress living with his wife, children, son in law, grandchildren and brother Mark who was aged 50 and an accountant.6 An unknown person was listed as the head of the family on the census of 20 June 1870 in New Jersey, USA, Benjamin was a Customs House Officer living with his wife and children.7 An unknown person was listed as the head of the family on the census of 10 June 1880 in 94 Hamilton Street, Newark, New Jersey, USA, Benjamin was listed as having varicose veins!! living with his wife and two children.8 Benjamin died on 25 July 1880 in Newark, New Jersey, USA, aged 82.9 Benjamin was buried on 28 July 1880 in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Newark, New Jersey, USA, in Section N, Lot 3.9
