She also applied her remarkable organisational skills to arranging seaside holidays and other activities of the local Darby and Joan Club, which she founded during her warden days, and where she met her widower second husband.³ She married Thomas Leonard in 1983 in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, Both Thomas and Rose's previous spouses had died.^3,5 Rose died on 24 November 1995 in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, She had a tough life but remained reasonably fit and well cared for until the end, when she collapsed in the kitchen, about to make tea for herself and husband Thomas.^3,6

John was a colliery joiner and shaftsman supervisor living with his wife and two sons.⁵

     Mary Ann Wilcock was born on 27 September 1867 in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England.^1,2 She married Edmund Hide, son of Edmund Hide and Mary Parkin, in 1907 in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England.³ In the census of 2 April 1911 in 58 Cooke Street, Bentley, Doncaster, Yorkshire, England, she was listed as the wife of Edmund Hide.⁴ On 29 September 1939 in the National Register Mary was listed as living at 35 March Street, Conisbrough, Yorkshire, England, with her husband Edmund. Edmund was a retired colliery lamp man living with his wife.⁵

Denis had been a university lecturer and microbiologist.^4,5
