Frederick Bramley was born on 19 June 1896.2 He married Mabel Greathead, daughter of John Turner Greathead and Mary Ann Wilford, in 1930 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England.1,3 On 9 September 1939 in the National Register Frederick was listed as living at 78 Trinity Avenue, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England, with his wife Mabel. Frederick was a boot and shoe manufacturer (Technical School Instructor)and a member of ARP.4 His wife Mabel died on 1978 in Kettering, Northamptonshire, England.1,5 Frederick died in August 1986 in Leicester, Leicestershire, England, aged 90.6

Thomas Kempton was born on 3 September 1836 in London, England.2 He was the son of Thomas Kempton and Mary Ann King.2
On the 18 September 1839 Thomas, Mary Ann, Thomas Junior and Henry Kempton sailed for New Zealand on board the ship 'Adelaide' as part of the New Zealand Company's scheme which resulted in the establishment of Wellington, which the Kempton's reached on 7 March 1840. During his time in Greytown, Thomas was involved in a number of commercial enterprises including carrier, butcher, publican, and storekeeper. Thomas Snr became Greytown's first Mayor in 1879.2 On the 7th July 1856 Thomas Junior brought the first bullock dray to travel over the newly completed Rimutaka Hill road right through from Wellington to Greytown. Later he served on the first Greytown Borough Council in 1879 and, for a second longer spell from 1888.2 He married Elizabeth Hodder He married Elizabeth Hodder They had 13 children, they farmed at "Elm Grove" on Kempton's Line from 1860.2 Thomas died on 29 April 1910 aged 73 the last of that first group of Greytown's settlers.2
