     John Davey was baptised on 28 October 1758 in Gwinear, Cornwall, England.2 He married Elizabeth Wakeman on 22 October 1785.2 He married Mary Crane on 21 March 1794 Mary was John's second wife. He was listed as a widower.1,2 John died on 18 November 1819 aged 61.2

Chart 1 My Direct Family - Edward Greathead
     Kenneth Greathead was born about March 1926 in Canada.1 He was the son of Oswald Greathead and Alice Dorothy Evans.1 Oswald Greathead sailed on board the ship Montrose arriving at Liverpool from St John, NB Canada with his sons Herbert, George and Kenneth, only 11 months old on 12 February 1927. He gave their address in UK as 5 Kellington Street, Burnley and his occupation as electrician.2 Herbert a scholar, George a scholar and Kenneth a child sailed from Liverpool on 16 November 1928 to Montreal aboard the ship Minnedosa. They sailed using their new surname of Evans. They were met at the dock by the Salvation Army in Halifax and put aboard a train to meet their father and his new wife.3,4 Herbert, George and Kenneth all left Canada and returned to England to fight in WW2 and reportedly to get away from their step mother.4 He married Joan ... Kenneth was a policeman. Joan and Kenneth had four children, all remained in England with the exception of one, Tony who had a daughter called Pat.4 Kenneth died about 1989 from a brain tumour.4

Joshua Greatheed1

     Joshua Greatheed was born about 1615 in Gildersome, Yorkshire, England.1 He was the son of Thomas Greatheed and Emily Oates.2 He was baptised on 15 October 1615 in Batley Parish Church, Batley, Yorkshire, England.3 He married Susannah Crowther in 1640.2,4 Major Greathead's Chapel adjoining the Barn - Stank Hall Barn. Joshua became a major in Cromwell's army in 1644 and fought at the battle of Adwalton Moor. He is said to have worshipped in the chapel in Beeston, although at this time the owner was the Royalist John Hodgson. After the Civil War, Major Greathead became the collector of Hearth Taxes for the area. His part in what became known as the Farley Wood Plot as a spy has been discussed by people far better than me.1 Joshua died about 1685 in London, England.1,2,4
