Anthony was a railway signalman. George was a woodman.5 In the census of 5 April 1891 in Wolviston, Durham, England, he was listed as the lodger of Ann Anderson a widow aged 69. George was a butcher.6 In the census of 31 March 1901 in Wolviston, Durham, England, he was listed as the lodger of Ann Anderson who is now listed as aged 81 from Wickham, Yorkshire. George was a butcher.7 In the census of 2 April 1911 in Wolviston, Durham, England, he was listed as the boarder of Ann Anderson a widow with whom he had boarded most of his adult life.      George Briscoe Oldfield was born on 13 November 1840 in Calcutta, India.1 He married Edith Radcliffe in Tisbury, Wiltshire, England, George and Edith had three known children George Bayley Oldfield born 21 November1866, Gertrude Letitia Oldfield born 15 March 1868 and Frederick Briscoe Oldfield born 7 April 1871.1 In 1905 when George's son married he was described as a clerk in holy orders.2 George died in 1932 in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England.1

     Emma Greathead was born about 1863 in England.1 Emma left Liverpool on 1 August 1872 aboard the ship Peruvian bound for Quebec, arriving on 11 August. She was a member of the 112 young people party led by Miss Rye bound for Niagara on the Lake. They were called home children.1

     Frank Greathead was born about 1865 in England.1 Frank sailed as a home child on 8 August 1872 from Liverpool aboard the ship Sarmatian. The ship arrived in Quebec on 17 August with the Miss Macpherson's party of 127 children.1

     Edith Greathead was born in 1906 in Bristol, Somerset, England.1,2 She was the daughter of Louisa Greathead. In the census of 19 June 1921 in 25 College Street, Bristol, Gloucestershire, England, she was listed as the daughter of Louisa Greathead Louisa was a general domestic servant like her daughter Edith. Louisa ststed she was a widow but I believe this was for 'show.3' Louisa went to Canada on board the Canadian Pacific ship Melita arriving in Quebec on 10 July 1925. Edith Greathead age 18 was also on the same ship.4,5 She married James T Hillier in 1926 in Bristol, Somerset, England.6
