     James Greathead Syson was baptised on 24 April 1797 in St Mary, Nottingham, Nottinghamshire, England.2,3 He was the son of John Syson and Lucy Green. He married Mary Edmonds on 6 January 1822 in St Phillips, Birmingham, Warwickshire, England, aftre a licence was issued. The ceremony was witnessed by Ann Edmonds and John Edmonds. John was from the Parish of St Nicholas in Nottingham. Mary was from this Parish.4,5,6 James died in 1832.1 The will of James was proved on 28 September 1832 in London by Mason and James Jones his executors. The will had been signed on 20 March 1829.1
